Oregon-based sportswear giant Nike is one of the most innovative running shoe brands of all time. The swoosh label recently launched an upgraded version of its Alphafly NEXT% earlier this year. Now everything is ready for the launch of a second model, dubbed the Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT% 2.
The shoes will be offered in the brand’s favorite colorway, Total Orange, and will come dressed in the Total Orange/Black/Bright Crimson colorway.
The product will be released on the official Nike SNKRS e-commerce site at the public price of $275 in a few weeks. The official release date of the running shoes has yet to be announced by the swoosh label.
Nike described the Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT% 2 Orange shoes as rockets
Nike released its Alphafly NEXT% 2 silhouette earlier this year as a reiteration of the record-breaking marathon runner shoe. The official website describes the shoe as a rocket:
“Once you take a few steps in the Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT% 2, you’ll never look at your favorite pair of old running shoes the same way again. These rockets are designed to help you save valuable time on your personal bests without giving up the foundation you need to go the full distance.”
The latest iteration, which comes dressed in a vibrant and bold “Total Orange” colourway, features an update to the Atomknit 2.0 upper, which offers more breathability and improved structure.
Iconic Swoosh logos are featured alongside the black painted sides. Most of the shoes are covered in a full orange and crimson hue, as the lightweight ribbed laces extend across the tongue in an orange hue.
The sole of the shoe moves away from the competition as it incorporates a ZoomX foam platform, an enlarged heel, a full-length carbon Flyplate and Zoom Air pucks for better stability and maximum energy return .
The Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT% 2 was designed to help slash the runner’s valuable personal best time, without giving up the foundation of full-distance running.
The silhouette is one of the most exciting for fast attackers, due to the functionality of the two forefoot Zoom Air modules. The sneakers provide a forward propulsion advantage thanks to the incorporated carbon fiber midsole.
Zoom foam offers the most responsive and lightweight technology on the swoosh label, and the full-length carbon fiber plate delivers greater top-end speed.
A thin rubber outsole completes the design as it improves traction and adds more bounce. Additionally, the shoes also help improve the transition from heel to forefoot. The bright orange tone brings more aesthetic to the already bold shoe. The entire upper, which is clad in a full Orange hue, also has subtle hits of Black.
The Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT% 2 “Total Orange” can be purchased from Swoosh’s official SNKRS e-commerce site and select retailers in the coming week for a retail price of $275. The swoosh label has yet to confirm release details for the latest iteration.
