New Balance has been actively collaborating in 2022, and the newest on this list is Stone Island. After impressing sneakerheads with their 2021 shoe launch, the two partners have come together again.
These newly redone Stone Island x New Balance RC Elite shoes have their release date undercover, as of now. But, according to a few insider reports, these pairs are expected to drop with a retail price of $220. After the drop, fans will be able to purchase them through Stone Island and New Balance e-commerce stores.
The Stone Island X New Balance TDS RC Elite shoes are reimagined in electrifying neon green tones
Stone Island, which was founded in 1982, had become a household name in Europe and Japan before finding its way to the United States. Over the past decade they have collaborated with brands such as Supreme, Nike and New Balance, the latter of which helped develop the brand’s newest shoe offering, the New Balance TDS RC Elite.
The aforementioned silhouette is secretly gearing up for its comeback after a successful fall 2021 debut. But unlike previous iterations, which focused mostly on neutral tones, this latest model features a more dynamic color palette, complete with mesh insets flashy green. The first glimpse of the pair was posted by a popular sneaker geek, namely @Ready2Cop, to his Instagram handle.
These upcoming shoes will feature a suede and mesh construction on the upper. Shades of brown, neon green and creamy white were used to craft the rods.
The bright green premium mesh can be seen on the toe as well as the medial side, followed by the suede browns which perfectly highlight this green mesh. Stone Island’s signature protruding logo appears on the end caps, which are crafted using white hues. The coveted N logo, meanwhile, is located next to the Stone Island badge and is crafted with brown leathers.
Adjacent to the toes, the eyelets are covered in suede and adorned with cream-white laces. The inner lining of the kicks is also crafted with these creamy tones.
Finally, the heavy white soles complete the look.
Other New Balance releases expected to drop soon
The running shoe specialist also recently teamed up with Bryant Giles for the launch of a new version of their most sought-after 2002R silhouette. Crafted with olive green canvas uppers, the shoe features a chunky off-white outsole. The pairs are embellished with all-over colored thread embroidery.
Although most of the details of this upcoming 2002R have been kept under wraps, they should arrive in the coming weeks.
Alongside these 2002Rs, the duo also worked on an innovative and stylish 2002R mule. The mule version of NB’s retro running shoes was recently unveiled by sneaker insider, namely @prvt.selection, who showcased these creamy-toned mules made of canvas textiles as well as premium knits on some parts. Fans will soon be able to nab these print mules on NB’s online store.
More recently, the brand has also revamped its 2002R style in “Grape Leaf”. Priced at $120, these shoes are set to drop in the coming weeks on the NB e-commerce website.
