Wales Bonner adidas SS22 Samba Country Shoes Release Date

Few people in fashion explore identity, sexuality and race like Grace Wales Bonner, whose eponymous label was founded shortly after graduating from Central Saint Martins in 2014. Bonner’s catalog of work, which has won numerous accolades over the past few years, very quickly caught the brand’s eye with the Three Stripes, and the two have since released three seasons of apparel and footwear.

Drawing again from adidas’ extensive archive, Wales Bonner will soon launch its fourth collaborative collection, which mixes influences from the 70s and 80s. This inspiration is particularly evident in the clothing – from jacquard knits to tracksuits – as it is compared to era through bright colors and retro cuts.

The shoe sees the return of a previously used classic, the Samba, which is dressed here in two bold colourways: one opts for a predominantly red look, while its counterpart layers green accents on a white base. And besides their color difference, the two share some details, such as the houndstooth laces and the twill heel tab. Additionally, the brand has prepared two pairs of campaign shoes that offer a reserved yet luxurious construction.

For a preview of the entire capsule, see below. Country footwear and apparel will be available tomorrow June 4; a firm release date for both Sambas, however, has yet to be shared.
