Wish there was a perfume that smelled like new shoes? Look no further: Taft has just launched two in new limited edition candles, just in time for the winter season.
Inspired by the brand’s heritage and history, each affordable candle features pointed black holders and wooden lids. The first candle, titled Spanish Cedar, features notes of tangerine, cedar wood and leather. Good for the Home pays direct homage to Taft founder Kory Stevens, particularly his early trips to Spanish leather factories when the menswear brand was launched.
The second candle is inspired by Taft’s new collections. In late 2021, the men’s shoe brand launched boots, loafers and sneakers in a variety of colors, all featuring an elaborate floral pattern called “Eden”. Paying homage to this part of Taft’s new creations, the brand’s Eden No. 1 candle features notes of cardamom, amber and suede for a blooming scent dedicated to the craftsmanship of footwear.
Taft’s candle launch was born out of the brand’s aim to commemorate the feeling of opening a new pair of shoes for the first time. Even we have to admit: there’s no such thing as a brand new pair of shoes fresh out of the box.
In addition to its candlelight debut, Taft has just launched its new collection of winter footwear. For the colder months, the brand focuses on versatile leather, suede and wool lace-up shoes, scoop-toe boots and Chelsea boots. Taft’s winter lineup also includes low-top sneakers, brogues and fenders in similar materials, mostly in hues of black, brown, oxblood and gray. For a graphic punch, the styles also feature colorful paisley and camo prints.
